Ok, some of you have been asking if I would post pics of my latest project.
My wife wanted a barbeque island, and since the ones she was looking at were in the $5K and higher range I decided I could build it for a lot less.
After talking with a couple of GC friends of mine who have done this I settled on using metal studs with fake stone on the side and granite tops.
I don't want to bore you with the details, but I do want to say that cutting, laminating, polishing and installing the 3 piece granite top took about 8% of the time of the whole project.
And my hands still hurt from the rest of the project.

aww man you didnt pay the guy for the work already did you?























haha just kidding. turned out great Mark, i wish i had a BBQ like that in my backyard. not bad at all.
