When cutting a sink cut out at the sink base cabinet, how do you prevent the sink cut out from falling inside the box if you don't have a suction cup jig to hang it up?  Is there a make shift way to hang up the sink cut piece from falling inside the sink base cabinet when cutting the corners in the house.  I'll be cutting  all but the corners outside of the house and leave the corners in tack so when I transport and place the granite top to on the cabinet the top won't crack as easily.
Thank you for the reply.  Jon

I don't cut them in place over the cabinet. I cut them on a table outside. I also support the entire piece with 2x4's so that when the cutout is almost ready to break free it doesn't bust loose, possibly breaking the part of the slab I am keeping. If you support it from underneath it will help you make all your cuts. Once it is cut loose simply remove it.

Glad to be of service,
Mark

yes there is a way inside the base cabinet screw on cleat boards on either side of the cabinet and leave them down approximately 3 1/2 inches down and then put two 2x4s across the cleats and this will give plenty of support so the piece wont fall through good luck.
